Porsche Motorsport driver Nick Tandy visits Porsche Life pop-up in Liverpool
Guests at the Porsche Life store in Liverpool were treated to an exclusive talk by Porsche 919 LMP1 Hybrid driver and 2015 Le Mans winner Nick Tandy, the ambassador for the Porsche Life pop-up concept.
Nick took to the stage for an exclusive Q&A session in front of an audience that included members of the Porsche Club Great Britain, the largest Porsche club in Europe. The Q&A covered topics including the recent result at Spa in this year’s World Endurance Championship, his prep for the upcoming round at Le Mans and his journey through the Porsche Motorsport Pyramid, from starting out in the Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain to racing the 919 Hybrid at Le Mans.
After accepting an honorary lifetime membership to Porsche Club Great Britain for his motorsport achievements, Nick also took the opportunity to sign souvenirs for club members and gave them a chance to ask their own questions.
“My work takes me all over the world racing for Porsche, so naturally I am proud to support Porsche Cars GB as it takes the brand ‘on the road’ in my home country,” Nick commented. “With victories in the 911 and 919 Hybrid LMP1, I have experienced first-hand how Porsche and its technologies have developed on the race track, particularly in the area of high performance, high efficiency engines, and it is exciting to see these innovations transferring to the road cars.”
The Porsche Life pop-up is a relaxing and informal environment, where visitors can discover the world of Porsche. This includes an exploration of the ‘Sound of Porsche’, gesture control screens and various opportunities to get closer to the unique character of the company and its cars.
Nick was also joined on stage by Ragnar Schulte, General Manager, Marketing, Porsche Cars GB. Ragnar spoke to the store visitors about the premise of the pop-up and how it allows people to experience the cars and the Porsche brand in a whole new way.
“Porsche Life offers every visitor the opportunity to explore first-hand the stories and legends that underpin the Porsche brand,” said Ragnar. “Whether looking into the Porsche future or admiring today’s iconic sports cars, the blend of a bespoke, innovative environment offering digital interactivity is designed so guests of all ages, fans, enthusiasts and customers, can feel welcome to have a chat over coffee.”
The store is open now until 4 June 2017 at 27 Liverpool ONE, 14 Peter’s Lane, Liverpool, L1 3DE.
